There's something about adding clay to soaps that lends a certain softness to the soap that's delightful to the touch. When crafting this soap, we debated between French Green Clay and Dead Sea Mud. While French green clay is renowned for its adsorbent properties and suitability for oily skin, our focus was on creating a soap tailored for sensitive skin, making Dead Sea mud a great choice. Its rich mineral content nourishes and moisturizes, making it a gentle cleanser. And if it was trusted by Cleopatra for her legendary beauty, why wouldn't we trust it for ours? 😍

Here's a little insider tidbit: This soap was truly a last-minute addition to our lineup. We were nearly finished with the designs for the other seven soaps when we realized that an even number would make more sense from a packaging standpoint. Consequently, the Dead Sea Mud soap became our eighth soap! 🎉

It’s almost serendipitous how things turned out - the soap that nearly wasn't, became the one that allowed me to have that purple color I'd been longing for in our packaging! Sometimes, it is the unexpected elements that round out a collection so beautifully. Having the color purple to symbolize not only the Germanium essential oil in this soap but also the essence of Purple Sage ties everything together in such a meaningful way. 💜
